Leere Betreffzeile. Kein Text in der Mail. Empfangsbestätigung angefordert. Outlook. Aber dafür eine gigantomanische Signatur in HTML mit 2 eingebetteten Bildern. Hier schreibt ein MCSP. Traurig aber wahr: Das Klischee stimmt, denn das ist bei weitem nicht die einzige Mail dieser Art, die mir ins Haus geflattert ist.

You need to know, that the network mask splits the bits into a network and a
host part. The rules are: All bits in the host part set: broadcast address. No
bits in the host part set: network address. All others are hosts.

The address in question clearly is a broadcast address. So none of the people you asked were right

You could discuss, that some operating systems define broadcast as the address with all host bits set to zero and vice versa for the network address.
